A multidisciplinary engineering consultancy company based in the south of Ireland is looking for a Structural Revit Technician to join its team. The company in question was founded in 1967 and is now a leading consultancy company providing services for residential and commercial buildings, infrastructures, bridges, environmental and geo-technical projects to name a few.

The successful Revit technician will join the structural department of the company, and will deal with a variety of projects. The company offer a permanent contract, career advancement opportunities, a pension scheme, annual reviews, competitive annual leave and a negotiable salary that will start from around 28.000€ to 35.000€ per year depending on experience.

Computational Designer – Canada

As a brief background the position is with a successful Timber structures construction company involved in the design, fabrication and erection of innovative timber structures across Canada and the United States such as long span roofs, tall wood buildings, seismic structures, free form structures and large scale mass timber structures. The company in question breaks new ground in design concepts, sophistication, craftsmanship and quality, and their work has been recognised internationally, including numerous awards for innovation in timber construction. The role of Computational Designer is an important one as they are responsible for carrying out the production of drawings and 3D models, sketching design details, and coordinating each project design with both external design teams and internal project management / engineering teams.

The successful candidate must have:

A minimum of 3-5 years detailing and 3D modelling experienc
Knowledge in all aspects of building structures and materials is expected
Able to translate architectural and structural drawings and specifications into accurate drawings for fabrication and erection.
Knowledge of industry codes, specifications, and standards.

Candidates will also be expected to become fluent in the software used including hsbCAD and Rhino/Grasshopper.

The position is with one of the leading Irish precast concrete construction companies involved with the design, fabrication and construction of precast concrete structures for high profile commercial and residential buildings in both Ireland and the UK. As a Structural CAD Technician, you will have the chance to work on a wide range of challenging projects. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed drawings, schedules and specifications. You will be responsible for drafting Precast products including stairs, flooring, hollow-core, double wall, columns and beams. To be considered for this role, you must have at least two years experience preferably in the commercial and residential sectors. Experience detailing precast is a distinct advantage, although reinforced concrete experience will be accepted as a minimum.

-Cad detailing: 2 years (Required)

Tekla Draughtsperson – UK

MCK Global are presently recruiting a TEKLA Draughtsperson to work on a permanent basis for one of our clients based in the North East of England. Our client is an established company whose workload covers a wide range of structural and metalwork packages solely for the Canadian market. They are a wholly owned subsidiary of one of the most successful structural steel fabrication and erection companies in Canada. In terms of experience, our client is looking for the following:

* A minimum of 3 years experience within the structural steelwork industry is required.

* Previous experience with TeklaStructures 3D modelling software is essential.

* An understanding of AISC/CISC standards is an asset.

* Duties will include all aspects of steelwork modelling and drawing production to meet tight schedules within a busy and modern office environment.

* Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and be fluent in English.

Salary: £25,000 – £33,000 per annum
