Meet The Team

Welcome to our Meet the Team section of our page where we all take it in turn to introduce ourselves. We came up with a few questions that we wanted to know about each other as we felt this was the best way to find out more about our personalities.

As the most recent member to join the team we thought it would be best for Callum to go first. To get to know more about him, read below.

Q: Why did you choose to get into recruitment?

A: I got into recruitment because I heard from a family member who also works in recruitment that it is a rewarding and exciting job, if done properly. So I decided to give it a try myself.

Q: What sector do you work in?

A: I’m currently working in the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering sector, as well as looking for BIM/Revit technicians.

Q: Any interesting hobbies?

A: In my spare time I’m either catching up with friends and family or training and competing in ice hockey.

Q: Why MCK Global?

A: I seen MCK Global had a vacancy and it caught my interest as they were local to me and when i done some research I noticed they done work in Canada, which appealed to me as I have been there myself a few times and love the country.

Q: What animal would you be and why?

A: If I were to be an animal I’d be a lion. This is so that I would be king of the jungle and at the top of the food chain.

Q: Why did you get into recruitment?

A: Recruitment is something I have been interested in working since being in school. When I was taught about it, I felt that it is a career I could be good at and enjoy doing.

Q: What sector do you work in?

A: I mainly recruit for Structural Engineers and Detailers in the UK and Ireland however I also have placed candidates in Canada. The positions do differ, so I have also recruited Architects, Revit Technicians, Timber Engineers and a variety of others.

Q: Any interesting hobbies?

A: In my spare time and at the weekends, I mainly catch up with friends and go out for food.

Q: Why MCK Global?

A: I chose to apply for MCK Global as I was looking for a new job that I would enjoy. I seen the position for MCK Global posted on a job board and seen that the office was local to me and as it was a recruiting position, I decided to apply and was lucky enough to be successful.

Q: What animal would you be and why?

A: If I were to be an animal, I would be a horse. This is because I can be nice and peaceful but when there’s a race to win, I can work hard to make sure I do.

Q: Why did you get into recruitment?

A: I was always looking to build a career in recruitment and for this reason, I specialised in this area of expertise during my master’s programme.

Q: What sector do you work in?

A: I have a focus on the façade and architectural sectors. I recruit for various positions including designers, engineers, architects, technologists and much more.

Q: Any interesting hobbies?

A: I am a keen cricket enthusiast as well as gym goer and regular badminton player.

Q: Why MCK Global?

A: I was interested in working for a recruitment company with a worldwide reach as I enjoy working on an international platform given my former experience and language skills. I previously worked in a technical industry on the sales and supply side, which allowed me to develop my communication further and gave me an insight into the commercial world at large.

Q: What animal would you be and why?

A: A lion as they are independent, but they stay with the pack. A lion is known as the King of the jungle. I think of myself as a natural leader, though I can take direction.

Q: Why did you get into recruitment?

A: When my son was born, it changed my life. I felt that I also need a change in my career. I saw the job post from MCK Global and knew straight away it was what I wanted to do.

Q: What sector do you work in?

A: I mainly recruit Engineers and Technicians/Detailers for construction companies in the UK and Ireland. The positions range from Structural/Civil Engineers to Cad/Revit Technicians and Tekla Detailers.

Q: Any interesting hobbies?

A: I spend all my spare time with my son, going on days out. I am also a massive football fan and manage to squeeze in a few football games as well.

Q: Why MCK Global?

A: When I read the job post for MCK Global, I was interested straight away and knew I had to apply. However, it wasn’t until after the interview I realised how much MCK Global could offer me. MCK Global offered me a career instead of a 9-5 clock in clock out job.

Q: What animal would you be and why?

A: If I could be any animal, it would be a dog. I always offer support to anyone who needs it, and I’m fiercely loyal
